Biomedical Engineering integrates four key research areas focused on cutting-edge medical diagnostics: rehabilitation and assistive devices, cellular and tissue engineering, and systems biology. Our program currently supports 35 PhD candidates working on diverse projects ranging from diagnostic tools for infectious diseases in developing nations to brain-machine interfaces, nanotech-driven stem cell research, robotic orthotic devices, and synthetic cell development. Doctoral candidates in our Biomedical Engineering Division collaborate closely with seasoned post-doctoral researchers while being mentored by globally recognized experts. The program provides thorough research training in relevant engineering disciplines, covering advanced analytical, computational, and experimental methodologies. We maintain robust connections with industry partners, biomedical sciences, and clinical medicine. Program Length: 3-4 years full-time; 6-8 years part-time
