Chemical physics explores the behavior of electrons, nuclei, atoms, and molecules across all states of matter and their interactions with surroundings. This program bridges the gap between chemistry and physics, teaching you to apply physical principles and cutting-edge technologies for molecular control and material innovation.
The University of Glasgow's Chemistry department ranks 6th in the UK (Complete University Guide 2021), consistently delivering outstanding teaching within a supportive academic setting. The program holds professional accreditation from the Institute of Physics and recognition from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Students can pursue Chemical Physics as an MSci degree, potentially including an industrial research placement at institutions like CERN or academic labs.
