This Master's program in Tourism & Heritage examines international case studies from Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia, while also incorporating Scotland's rich history and traditions to explore these varied interpretations. Distinctively blending tourism and heritage through social sciences and arts lenses, the program provides a more comprehensive and analytical approach than conventional business-oriented methods. Based at the School of Social & Environmental Sustainability on Dumfries Campus - an area abundant in cultural and environmental heritage - students gain direct access to historic tourism destinations, protected parks, and pristine landscapes for immersive fieldwork.
