The Mechatronics Master's program combines mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control engineering disciplines. Today's industries thrive in global markets by effectively merging these fields into both manufacturing processes and cutting-edge products and systems.
The School of Engineering maintains strong relationships with industry partners who actively participate in teaching, curriculum design, and panel discussions for various courses. Notable recent collaborators in Mechanical Engineering include Babcock, Howdens, and Terex. Students will master design synthesis and analysis methods across key mechatronic engineering subjects. The program teaches how to employ specialized software for mechatronic system development and analysis, along with professional project planning, reporting, and presentation skills for multidisciplinary projects. Recognized with an Athena Swan Silver Award, the school shows its dedication to advancing women in STEM fields and enhancing the work environment for everyone. This program is currently undergoing reaccreditation with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Graduates can pursue careers in manufacturing systems, design and production engineering, or product development. Alumni have secured roles such as Senior Software Engineer.
