The Master's in Geomatics & Management is designed for geomatics (surveying and mapping) graduates. Ideal for geomatics professionals seeking management expertise while deepening their technical knowledge, this program offers joint instruction from the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences and the Adam Smith Business School. You'll gain from their combined resources, industry-aligned curriculum, and guidance from our Geospatial Industry Advisory Board. The program structure includes two semesters and a summer session, with one semester dedicated to management fundamentals in the Business School, emphasizing practical application of business concepts. The geomatics semester lets you specialize in land/hydrographic surveying or GIS/cartography, tailored to your background. You'll work with cutting-edge equipment like GPS and Terrestrial Laser Scanners, plus industry-standard software for data processing and visualization. The program includes either a week-long field survey course or attendance at the GIS Research UK conference (fees covered).
