Our focus lies in exploring German culture across all dimensions, with special attention given to language and literary studies.
Situated in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, which encompasses an expanding array of language disciplines, we provide guidance in German Studies along with chances for cross-cultural and multidisciplinary collaboration. Faculty members possess diverse expertise spanning language, literature, and cultural studies, particularly in the contemporary era. Students will experience a welcoming atmosphere and benefit from access to one of Europe's premier research libraries, complemented by institution-wide training through the Arts and Humanities Graduate School. The College of Arts Graduate School fosters an interdisciplinary, collaborative setting for all research scholars. We deliver various resources, courses, and skill-enhancement programs tailored for postgraduate researchers. The College of Arts boasts a dynamic, multicultural student body engaged in both taught master's and research degrees within an intellectually enriching environment. Each department within the college conducts groundbreaking, influential research.
The Master of Research program blends coursework with independent investigation. Participants must complete 60 to 80 credits of structured classes alongside original research that advances scholarly understanding.
