Our research teams engage in diverse projects spanning classic disciplines like synthesis, catalysis, and spectroscopy, driving innovations in molecular magnets, plasmonics, battery development, medical imaging, and 3D printing applications.
We foster a vibrant research atmosphere with approximately 40 faculty members, 120 graduate researchers, and 40 research assistants and fellows collaborating closely with both UK and global industry partners. Our portfolio includes RCUK-funded initiatives, industry-sponsored projects, and multiple research fellowships. As part of ScotCHEM, we unite with seven Scottish universities dedicated to outstanding postgraduate education and research excellence. This includes West CHEM, a collaborative network connecting the chemistry departments of Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities.
