Our goal is to enhance human health and wellbeing by examining how social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental factors impact health, while applying social science theories and methods. MRCCSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit
This Unit's primary mission is to advance health and wellbeing by investigating social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental health influences. It brings together a diverse team of social science researchers specializing in health determinants, disparities, and enhancement strategies. Key objectives involve:analyzing how biological, social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental factors interact to shape physical and mental health across lifetimes
identifying mechanisms that can alter these processes to potentially enhance public health in our evolving world
creating and assessing interventions that leverage these mechanisms to boost public health and decrease health inequities
shaping policy and practice by sharing research findings with various stakeholdersCore research areas within the social and public health sciences unit include:

Awarded or expected First-class or high Upper Second-class Bachelors degree.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic and Academic Online (not General Training): 6.5 with no subtests under 6.0
