Economics education explores how people and societies allocate limited resources, determining what goods are created and who benefits from them. This involves analyzing trade-offs between costs, advantages, risks, and societal impacts. The curriculum covers both microeconomic and macroeconomic theories while offering specialization options in areas like public policy, emerging economies, corporate economics, and global commerce.
Students gain expertise in investigative methods, critical evaluation, effective communication, collaborative work, strategic planning, and creative solutions. Alumni have secured positions with prominent employers including: Ernst & Young, Morgan Stanley, Shell, Scottish Government, National Australia Group Europe, and Hays plc.
