At Glasgow, students engage in small-group learning with native speakers from both Portugal and Brazil, benefiting from the program's longstanding partnership with the Instituto Camões. Participants enjoy full access to our Language Resources Centre, equipped with top-quality audiovisual, digital, and print materials.
The School of Modern Languages & Cultures provides degree programs in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. While French, German, Italian, and Spanish can be pursued as single subjects or combined with other disciplines, Portuguese and Russian are exclusively offered as joint degrees alongside another field of study.
Graduates in languages enter diverse professional fields such as: media, arts organizations, education/teaching, civil service fast track programs, banking, management, public relations, and diplomatic services.
