Mathematics is an expansive and continually evolving field that delves into numerical, geometric, and logical connections. Our program offers a diverse selection of honors-level courses to choose from. Through our ambassador initiative, students gain firsthand teaching experience in schools while building essential professional competencies.
The ambassador program enables students to engage in classroom settings, observing teaching methods and honing key career skills. The MacLaurin Society (or MacSoc), named after Scottish mathematician Colin MacLaurin, has served as the university's Mathematics and Statistics Society since the 1950s, fostering a welcoming community for School students.
Our degree programs stand out for their adaptability, allowing students to pursue combined degrees with numerous subjects across the University. Popular combinations include Physics, Chemistry, and Economics, though students have recently paired mathematics with disciplines like English, French, Music, and Philosophy. Note that some combined Honors courses may have scheduling limitations.
