In today's fast-evolving landscape of intellectual property and digital business, this program offers a distinctive chance to focus on this growingly vital legal field. You'll cultivate an analytical perspective on diverse matters related to intellectual property law and the digital marketplace. The program grants you access to CREATe, the Law School's prestigious UK Copyright and Creative Economy Research Centre. Participants can enroll in CopyrightX: Glasgow, a rigorous twelve-week collaborative course conducted in partnership with Harvard Law School and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. Summer internships and visitorships at IP-focused firms and global institutions are available for application. Past students have gained valuable experience at (i) Burness Paull & Williamsons, a leading Scottish commercial law firm with deep IP, IT, and Information Law knowledge, (ii) Cloch Solicitors, a specialized Scottish IP practice, and (iii) the World Trade Organization. Our outstanding resources include the specialized Law School library, while the main University library houses comprehensive legal collections and serves as a European Documentation Centre.
