Virology studies are conducted at the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research. Our specialists cover diverse areas including molecular virology, disease mechanisms in living organisms, virus-cell relationships, immune responses to viruses, viral ecology, clinical virology, disease spread analysis, computational modeling, and bioinformatics. The MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR) operates under the School of Infection and Immunity. As the UK's largest research center dedicated to virology, the CVR unites leading scientists investigating viruses affecting humans and animals. The center offers state-of-the-art facilities and fosters collaborative, interdisciplinary projects while delivering comprehensive training in modern virology research. Research focuses include arboviruses, Epstein Barr virus, feline calicivirus, herpes viruses, hepatitis C virus, influenza, retroviruses, and papillomaviruses.
