The School of Social & Environmental Sustainability is perfectly situated for Environmental Science & Sustainability studies, with convenient access to coastal, marine, and terrestrial ecosystems including the Southern Uplands, peat bogs, and moorlands. These natural resources, along with the region's vast agricultural and wooded areas, offer a dynamic and varied setting for academic exploration.
Participants will acquire diverse environmental management competencies, readying them for numerous career paths. The blend of comprehensive education with specialized training, enhanced by practical work placements, provides vital professional skills. Students in CHES-accredited courses qualify for complimentary IES student membership and accelerated professional certification after graduation, paving the way toward Chartered Environmentalist or Chartered Scientist status.
