The Children's Health and Exercise Research Center conducts studies in pediatric exercise science to improve knowledge about how physical activity, exercise, and sports impact health and wellness. Our research aims to optimize these activities for diverse youth populations, including healthy schoolchildren, those with chronic conditions, and promising young athletes. A key focus has been creating child-focused research programs where all tools and methods are specifically developed with and for children. These innovative approaches have gained global recognition, offering fresh perspectives on children's exercise physiology. Our findings have reshaped traditional views on youth exercise responses, revealing significant differences compared to adults and distinct variations between genders.
