The Security, Conflict and Human Rights program offers an interdisciplinary approach, acknowledging that conventional security studies must integrate broader perspectives on human insecurity - encompassing domestic violence and instability - to formulate more effective conflict resolution and social justice strategies. This research-focused pathway enables students to work alongside distinguished scholars and professionals specializing in strategic security studies through our Strategy and Security Institute. Institute faculty conduct cutting-edge research, advisory work, and instruction in global security dynamics, focusing particularly on how entities navigate conflict situations under extreme duress. The program develops researchers with cross-disciplinary expertise capable of influencing academic discourse, policy-making, and practical interventions to prevent and manage security threats.
