Our department fosters an interdisciplinary, supportive, and dynamic environment for advanced postgraduate studies. We welcome research spanning sociology (including criminology), philosophy, anthropology, and anthrozoology, encouraging work that bridges these fields. As part of our department, Egenis - the Centre for the Study of Life Sciences - stands as a globally recognized hub for philosophical and social examinations of biological sciences. We cultivate an intellectually stimulating atmosphere that introduces students to varied perspectives and innovative concepts. Our distinctive research approach emphasizes transcending conventional academic divisions, particularly between philosophy-sociology-anthropology and social-life sciences, creating a vibrant postgraduate research community that embodies this interdisciplinary ethos.
