The CCoRD research team studies landscape and ecosystem transformations across cryospheric, marine, coastal, and riverine environments throughout historical, contemporary, and projected timeframes. Our core objective involves deciphering how these diverse systems adapt to ongoing environmental and climate shifts. This research builds upon knowledge of historical adaptations and quantifiable modern transformation rates, using this empirical foundation to simulate future landscape and process modifications. Our methodology integrates multiple techniques including analytical and chronological assessments, satellite observations, field investigations, computational modeling, along with paleoecological and paleoclimatic examinations.
