The Children's Health and Exercise Research Center conducts groundbreaking studies in pediatric exercise science to expand knowledge about how physical activity, exercise, and sports impact health and wellness. Our research aims to improve exercise and sports participation for diverse youth populations, from healthy schoolchildren to those with chronic conditions and promising young athletes.
A key focus of our work involves creating child-focused research programs: all our equipment and methods are specifically developed with children, for children.
Our innovative approaches have gained global recognition and are reshaping how we understand children's exercise physiology. Findings have overturned traditional assumptions about youth exercise responses, revealing significant differences between children and adults, as well as distinct gender variations in physiological reactions.
