Overview This accredited conversion program, boasting an alumni network of 600+ graduates, equips you with essential data science capabilities while building the mathematical foundations crucial for data work. You'll master Python and R programming (no coding background needed) while examining diverse real-world applications to ready yourself for data-focused roles across industries. Drawing on our Mathematics and Statistics faculty's expertise, you'll engage in hands-on data work, developing skills to conduct statistical analyses, interpret findings, and effectively communicate results despite uncertainties or biases. Upon completion, you'll possess the expertise to uncover hidden data insights, make ethically sound decisions, and operate as a meticulous, principled data professional.
A good degree (normally a 2:2). Successful applicants will usually have at least an A-level or equivalent in Mathematics and/or have received quantitative skills training as part of their undergraduate programme or professional experience. Prior experience of coding is not necessary on this course.
 
IELTS: 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in writing and no less than 5.5 in any other section; TOEFL iBT: 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 20 for speaking and 18 in listening and reading; Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE: 67 with no less than 64 in writing skills and 59 in all other communicative skills.
