Program OverviewThe MRes Management (Pathway to PhD) is a one-year intensive program designed to equip students with essential research skills for advanced studies in management and social sciences. This program serves as ideal preparation for those aiming to pursue a PhD in Management or related social science disciplines.Throughout the MRes, students gain comprehensive training in social science research methodologies, core Micro- and Macro-level Management theories, and professional research practices essential for academic success.The program's research dissertation component allows students, under expert supervision, to conduct an in-depth literature review of their selected topic, critically analyze existing research, and formulate a robust research framework for future doctoral studies.Students benefit from instruction by our globally recognized faculty members who are actively engaged in cutting-edge research and scholarly publications.Upon successful completion of the MRes, students automatically advance to our three-year Management MPhil/PhD program at the University of Exeter.
