Our research primarily explores human skeletal muscle metabolism in relation to exercise and nutrition, examining how it changes through training, sedentary lifestyles, and aging. We also investigate ways to enhance adaptation and performance using innovative nutritional strategies, exercise regimens, or pharmaceutical approaches.
To study metabolism directly, we employ stable isotope techniques, arterio-venous balance assessments, and muscle biopsy sampling (for measuring both short-term and long-term muscle protein synthesis rates).
