The Family, Regulation and Society Network brings together scholars specializing in family law and related fields from Exeter, Bristol, and Cardiff Universities. Addressing the growing complexity of modern family structures, this collaborative initiative pursues socio-legal research to examine how these evolving dynamics impact legal and policy frameworks governing familial and personal relationships. Through this work, the network strives to ground family policy decisions in rigorous research and thoughtful academic analysis.

Qualification Requirements

Normally students will have a good undergraduate Honours degree (UK Upper Second Class Honours or equivalent) and a Masters degree with a dissertation component. If you are seeking funding through one of the Research Councils (UK/EU students only), you will need to hold a minimum Upper Second Class Honours degree, although often these awards are won by those with First Class Honours due to high levels of competition.
