OverviewThis two-year program blends language acquisition with specialized courses in Middle Eastern politics and independent research on a subject you select. You'll undergo intensive training in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and a regional Arabic dialect at Exeter, followed by overseas study in an Arabic-speaking nation. You'll develop decision-making skills for your academic work while exploring research approaches used by top scholars. The curriculum enables you to analyze significant Middle Eastern events and contemporary issues through area studies and political science frameworks. We will consider applicants with a 2:2 Honours degree with 53% or above in a social sciences or humanities discipline. While we normally only consider applicants who meet this criteria, if you are coming from a different academic background which is equivalent to degree level, or have relevant work experience, we would welcome your application. IELTS :6.5 overall and no less than 6 in any section and TOEFL:90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, listening, reading and speaking.
