The Film Studies Pathway enables you to focus on core aspects of film and television studies while examining diverse connections with various cultural forms. This program provides the unique chance to analyze cinema in relation to literature, art history, and theoretical frameworks. You can choose specialized courses covering film audio, screenwriting, and investigate how cinema and scholars have explored the connections between visual media, human perception, and physicality. The curriculum also includes critical examinations of global cinema. Instruction comes from specialists in American, East Asian, European, South Asian, and other international film traditions, along with experts in cinematic history, archival studies, and film theory. Additionally, you'll gain exclusive access to the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum's archival materials and participate in a vibrant research community.
