The MSD in Social Policy provides a distinctive chance to conduct research across diverse social settings. Whether you're exploring how social policies are created and enacted, investigating why certain policies succeed while others fail, or examining interactions between stakeholders in policy development, our experienced supervisors can guide your work. You'll have access to Masters-level research methods courses to build essential skills, plus the University's Proficio training scheme to tailor learning to your specific research needs.
The School of Health and Social Care maintains a strong partnership with our Service User Reference Group (SURG), comprising individuals with direct experience of care systems. These service users, caregivers, and volunteers help shape our curriculum, ensuring patient and client needs remain central to our programs.
Our alumni now hold clinical and leadership roles in healthcare trusts, hospitals, care providers, and government agencies at various levels.
