Our MSD in Occupational Therapy provides a distinctive chance to conduct research across diverse health and organizational settings. Whether you're focused on sensory integration results for adults with brain injuries, dementia care in community settings, or occupational justice concerns in marginalized groups, we likely have an experienced supervisor to guide your research journey.
This MSD program is available as a 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time option, with an additional year for completion. Many students pursue an MSD before a PhD to hone their research abilities, showcase their dedication, and demonstrate strong time management to prospective supervisors or funding bodies.
The School of Health and Social Care collaborates closely with our Service User Reference Group (SURG), which includes individuals with lived experience, caregivers, and volunteers who openly share their healthcare and social service insights.
Our alumni have secured roles in clinical and leadership positions within healthcare trusts, hospitals, care providers, and local government organizations.
