Heritage encompasses both tangible and intangible cultural elements that societies decide to protect and cherish. Yet heritage also sparks intense discussions. How should we handle, conserve, and share our heritage in modern times? In what manner is history either commemorated or overlooked, utilized and reinterpreted today? What distinctions exist between physical and non-physical, cultural versus natural, and analog compared to digital heritage?
Our interdisciplinary MA in Heritage and Museum Studies provides specialized, practice-oriented academic training that examines these issues and beyond. This rigorous program highlights the practical significance of conversations about cultural inheritance and its methods of display and engagement.
The MA curriculum includes required and elective courses, allowing students to build expertise in the discipline while gaining hands-on experience, all while exploring their personal specialized interests within heritage studies.
