Our rigorous and selective program offers the intellectually fulfilling opportunity to explore the depth of both French and English legal traditions. As one of the handful of UK institutions that prepares students for dual qualification in British and French legal systems, we provide a unique educational pathway.
The initial phase of our esteemed LLB Licence English and French Law (Double Degree) program takes place at Essex, where you'll complete essential English Law modules that fulfill the academic requirements for UK legal practice. Concurrently, you'll study French law through instruction delivered entirely in French during your time in the UK.

Qualification Requirements
A-levels: ABB, including A in French (or equivalent).
IB: 32 points or three Higher Level certificates with 655. Either must include Higher Level French grade 6.
We are also happy to consider a combination of separate IB Diploma Programme Courses (formerly certificates) at both Higher and Standard Level. Exact offer levels will vary depending on the range of subjects being taken at higher and standard level, and the course applied for.
We can also consider combinations with BTECs or other qualifications in the Career-related programme – the acceptability of BTECs and other qualifications depends on the subject studied, advice on acceptability can be provided. French Baccalaureate: An overall mark of 14 including 12 in English and 12 in French
IELTS- 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
