In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, our department ranked 31st for research strength.
Our PhD alumni have secured academic positions at prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Cambridge and University of Nottingham, while others have continued at the University of Essex as postdoctoral researchers, impact officers, or lecturers.
