An Integrated PhD program offers an alternative pathway into research for those without a Master's degree or limited research experience. The first year involves completing Master's-level coursework, followed by 3-4 years of full-time doctoral study. Alternatively, we provide a standard PhD option available either full-time (3-4 years) or part-time (6-7 years).

Our School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering equips both recent graduates and working professionals with opportunities to develop new competencies or strengthen existing expertise.

Electronics design engineers with strong qualifications find employment opportunities across diverse sectors including aviation, automotive, entertainment, and consumer electronics. Leading global corporations such as Siemens, Fujitsu, Sony, Toshiba, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Apple, Microsoft, Intel, Dell, Sharp, Canon, Acer, Lenovo, Hitachi, Epson, Philips, Nikon, Pioneer, TCL, and JVC actively seek skilled designers.
Additionally, numerous career prospects exist with local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) near Essex, which represent a substantial portion of the workforce both in the UK and across Europe.
