Our Bioinformatics PhD program in the Department of Mathematical Sciences specializes in processing extensive functional genomics data. Students work alongside faculty members with expertise spanning bioinformatics, life sciences, computing, mathematics, physics, and statistics.

You will need a good honours degree and a masters degree in a relevant subject. A well-developed research proposal is also essential. If English is not your first language , we require IELTS 6.0, or equivalent with a minimum of 5.5 in all other components, TOEFL IBT 76 overall with minimum component scores: listening 17, reading 18, writing 17, and speaking 20.
