Our BSc Sports Therapy program equips you with the foundational knowledge to support your hands-on skills, preparing you for registration as a professional sports therapist. This career-focused course emphasizes both employment readiness and personal growth, helping you graduate as a self-assured, independent practitioner who understands the importance of ongoing professional development.
The curriculum draws from extensive experience in sports therapy education. You'll master various treatment techniques, from electrotherapy to exercise-based interventions and manual therapies. In your final year, you'll undertake 200 hours of supervised clinical practice at our Sports Therapy Clinic and with external sports organizations, working under supervision to apply your professional training.
Most specialized instruction occurs in small, practice-oriented classes. Upon completing the program, you'll qualify for registration with the Society of Sports Therapists, enabling you to practice independently in clinical environments or with athletic teams.
Graduates meet the requirements to register with the Society of Sports Therapists and can pursue careers as independent practitioners, team therapists, or work in sports facilities. Growing recognition of exercise's role in preventative health creates additional career prospects.
The program also provides excellent preparation for advanced study in diverse fields such as sports science, healthcare professions (including nursing and physiotherapy), or education through PGCE qualifications.
