This three-year course incorporates interprofessional learning (IPL), fostering collaboration between healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care. For those currently employed in relevant fields with employer support, we also offer an Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship pathway leading to the same BSc qualification.
Our curriculum emphasizes the therapeutic power of meaningful activities in promoting health, wellbeing, and personal goal achievement for individuals.
The program blends diverse teaching methods including lectures, seminars, and practical workplace placements, complemented by peer-assisted and self-directed learning approaches that encourage active skill development.
Through our partnership with the Service User Reference Group (SURG) - comprising patients, caregivers, and volunteers - we ensure our curriculum reflects real-world healthcare needs. SURG members contribute to admissions processes, teaching delivery, and research initiatives, providing invaluable first-hand perspectives that enhance both clinical understanding and compassionate practice.
