The BSc Economics with Psychology program equips you with essential mathematical abilities and teaches you to analyze data for understanding global economic trends, the psychological factors influencing economic behavior, and cognitive processes. By merging economics with psychology, you'll gain deeper insights into why people often act against their own best interests. This knowledge of behavioral economics enables policymakers to design systems that gently guide individuals toward better choices and improved wellbeing.
Your learning experience draws from cutting-edge economic research, ensuring you graduate with robust economic expertise. Our institution ranks 4th in the UK for research strength in economics and econometrics (Times Higher Education research power measure, Research Excellence Framework 2021).
The Psychology Department offers one of the UK's most comprehensive approaches to studying cognition. Through our Research Experience Scheme (RES), you can collaborate with researchers and gain practical skills in our specialized psychology laboratories.

Modern employers increasingly seek economists capable of analytical reasoning, big data interpretation, and problem-solving. Our program enhances your career prospects, bringing you nearer to your ideal profession or advanced studies upon graduation.
Our graduates are highly sought after by diverse employers across multiple sectors, including financial services, corporate management, government agencies, and accounting firms.
