Encompassing diverse sectors including lodging, transportation, attractions, and beyond, the industry experienced significant growth following the easing of pandemic measures, with its global market share nearly recovering to pre-crisis levels. This vital economic driver continues to expand both locally and globally, attracting new professionals annually.
The BA Tourism program at Edge Hotel School equips students for leadership positions across cruise lines, airlines, event venues, tourist destinations, and travel agencies worldwide. The curriculum features hands-on training at Wivenhoe House - a four-star country hotel on Essex's Colchester campus - during the first year, complemented by industry expert lectures, consultancy initiatives, and real-world project engagements.

While hotel operations provide foundational hospitality knowledge, the program's centerpiece involves partnering with tourism enterprises on joint ventures. Students learn in Britain's most ancient documented town, surrounded by heritage that draws global visitors. With proximity to London, coastal areas, and six international airports within a two-hour radius, participants engage with regional tourism networks and major attractions like Colchester Castle and Visit Essex.
