Exploring literature in combination with sociology allows you to examine both the bonds and barriers between individuals. We analyze all facets of everyday existence, from our interactions with public figures, stars, and acquaintances to how we perceive ourselves, our relatives, and those around us. The curriculum covers diverse subjects including digital platforms and social dynamics, psychological health, Japanese traditions, and wartime artistic expressions, cinematic works, and firsthand accounts.
Those pursuing sociology and literature develop essential abilities in effective communication, organizational skills, investigative methods, and polished presentation techniques.
Career possibilities for literature and creative writing graduates are nearly as varied as the students themselves. Publishing and theatrical fields have been particularly fruitful for recent alumni.
Our department's graduates have pursued paths as authors, educators, media professionals, advertising specialists, filmmakers, cultural institution staff, design experts, financial sector employees, and government workers.
