Essex offers distinctive expertise in public policy approaches for economic stimulation and management, incorporating behavioral methods for effective communication. You can integrate health economics with public and development economics to gain comprehensive insights into addressing challenges like Covid-19, while balancing domestic and international priorities.
Economic revival stands among today's most critical priorities, and an economics degree equips you with specialized skills to confront this issue, develop solutions, and enhance societal welfare.
Our program provides a comprehensive foundation in all economic disciplines, covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, and both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Analyze individual choices, corporate strategies, and governmental policies to question and redefine conventional economic principles.

Employers increasingly seek economists capable of critical analysis, big data interpretation, and real-world problem-solving. Our curriculum enhances your career prospects, bringing you nearer to your ideal profession or advanced studies upon graduation.
Graduates are highly sought after by diverse employers across multiple sectors, including financial services, corporate leadership, government roles, and accounting professions.
