Our four-year BA Drama program (including foundation year) is ideal if you don't currently meet the entry requirements for the three-year version and seek a curriculum that enhances both your subject expertise and academic abilities to boost your performance.

This extended program begins with a foundation year (Year Zero), followed by three years of specialized study. Your initial year covers three academic subjects aligned with your chosen field, plus a mandatory academic skills module, with optional English language support for international students.

Upon successfully completing Year Zero through our Essex Pathways Department, you'll advance to complete your degree with our Department of Literature, Film, and Theatre Studies.
