Our analytical research team ranks among the UK's premier institutions for mathematical studies, specializing in both linear and nonlinear partial differential equations along with harmonic analysis.

Your enthusiasm for mathematical analysis will be met with guidance from globally renowned faculty members, an extensive schedule of seminars and research groups, culminating in a degree recognized worldwide for its excellence.

The Mathematics Department thrives as an active academic community, comprising over 60 faculty and support staff who mentor 60 graduate students.

We maintain a distinctive emphasis on the intersection between traditional Euclidean harmonic analysis and contemporary PDE theory. Our work explores harmonic analytic concepts across number theory, geometric measure theory, combinatorics, discrete geometry, and geometrically invariant inequalities, while also examining how harmonic analysis applies to elliptic and parabolic PDEs with irregular coefficients or domains.
