Sport's growing influence across social, economic, and political spheres has become a defining characteristic of modern society. This Master's program offers a critical analysis of both the commercialized, media-driven professional sports industry and the expanding domain of community sports, recreation, and fitness activities. Students will acquire essential knowledge applicable to careers and meaningful involvement across all areas of the sports industry.

Acknowledging the politically charged nature of sports management, the curriculum examines how government policies influence sporting opportunities and how sports contribute to broader social policy objectives.

The program evaluates sports' impact on key policy areas like crime reduction, health promotion, educational achievement, and community development, while also exploring its global role in conflict mediation, gender equality initiatives, health interventions, and economic empowerment in disadvantaged regions.
