The study of human skeletal remains offers the most immediate window into past ways of life, with scientific examination providing unparalleled understanding of our shared history.

Bioarchaeology, sometimes called osteoarchaeology (the analysis of archaeological human remains), forms a specialized branch of biological anthropology. This dynamic interdisciplinary domain employs diverse methodologies, from macroscopic skeletal observation to microscopic biomolecular investigation. Population changes, ecological transformations, human movements, daily habits, various illnesses, and the consequences of warfare all imprint themselves on bones.

This Master's program equips students with essential competencies to:

utilize sociological frameworks
contextualize human remains culturally for both individuals and communities
