The program seeks to:

broaden the scope of art history
highlight significant relationships and common themes
adopt diverse theoretical perspectives and analytical methods for studying global artworks
You'll examine artworks spanning from the 3rd to the 18th century, covering wide geographical regions such as:

the British Isles
Mediterranean regions
Latin America
the Middle East and North Africa
India, China, and Japan

Through this program, you'll undertake detailed research projects utilizing Edinburgh's extensive archival and library resources, with exclusive access to premier galleries and museums.
