Located in the inaugural UNESCO City of Literature, this intensive one-year Masters program focuses on honing your craft in fiction or poetry.

The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning to enhance your creative abilities through:

interactive workshops
sharing your writing for group feedback
learning from visiting authors about the realities of the writing profession

You'll also refine your analytical skills by:

participating in form-specific seminars
taking literature electives that bridge theory and practice

The program concludes with the publication of From Arthur's Seat, showcasing student work in a collective anthology.

Qualification Requirements

A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in any discipline. This will often be in a directly related subject like English Literature/Creative Writing, but we welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds.

IELTS Academic: total 7.0 with at least 6.5 in each component.
TOEFL-iBT (including Home Edition): total 100 with at least 23 in each component. We do not accept TOEFL MyBest Score to meet our English language requirements.
