The Advanced Sustainable Design program equips you with the expertise, capabilities, and innovative thinking to implement sustainable development theories across urban, suburban, and rural landscapes. Our work spans from individual building systems to regional-scale projects.

We encourage applications from graduates of diverse academic backgrounds. While this program connects with architecture, design, and urban planning, we welcome candidates with qualifications in environmental sciences and humanities.

The curriculum combines hands-on projects with comprehensive instruction on sustainable design for the built environment. Students will develop proficiency in building simulation modeling and acquire highly sought-after professional skills.

We maintain that effective sustainable development requires more than technical approaches. Throughout the program, you will:

examine how design intersects with current sustainability challenges
participate in cultural and professional discussions about our constructed surroundings
develop a specialized, authoritative perspective in this discipline
