Geophysics examines the intricate relationships among Earth's various systems. Our research spans from the molten metal in the planet's core to continental drift on its surface. We investigate both the deep Earth's makeup and the dynamic changes occurring in the atmosphere.

This program combines the strengths of both disciplines.

Geology and geophysics are often mixed up since both analyze Earth's processes. Both fields, for instance, research the driving forces of plate tectonics.

Key differences:

Geologists concentrate on Earth's surface materials and their development over time.
Geophysicists primarily study the planet's physical phenomena, including its inner structure and atmospheric conditions.
As a geophysics and geology student, you'll explore:

mineral characteristics at microscopic levels
Earth's architecture and chemical makeup
how major forces like gravity, seismic activity, and magnetism transform our planet
Earth's history to predict and protect its future
the effects of climate change on a global scale
