This combined degree program allows you to master advanced Russian language skills in speaking, writing, reading, listening, and translation.
First-year Russian courses are tailored to your existing knowledge level, welcoming complete beginners.
Throughout your four-year journey, you'll examine Russian literature and culture across different historical periods while gaining insight into Russia's political and historical role globally.
The politics component investigates how societies are governed - analyzing political institutions, power structures, and decision-making impacts. It questions what constitutes a fair society and pathways to achieve it.
Guided by top scholars, you'll analyze contemporary and historical debates surrounding power dynamics, civic engagement, and resource distribution. The curriculum covers governance processes at various levels while examining political ethics, personal freedoms, and justice boundaries.

The standard entry requirement is:
SQA Highers: AAAB-ABBB by end of S5 or AAAA-AABB/ABBBB by end of S6. BBB must be achieved in one year of S4-S6.
A Levels: AAB - ABB.
IB: 36 points with 665 at HL - 34 points with 655 at HL.

SQA Highers: ABBB by end of S6. BBB must be achieved in one year of S4-S6.

IB: 34 points with 655 at HL.
IELTS Academic: total 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each component.
