This initiative was created to address the nationwide scarcity of Gaelic educators while strengthening the professional skills of aspiring teachers. LLC serves as a founding partner of Soillse, the National Research Network dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Gaelic language and culture.

Via the Gaelic Algorithmic Research Group (GARG), LLC spearheads a global research team exploring cutting-edge technologies for Gaelic. Their work includes pioneering the world's first functional Automatic Speech Recognition system for this language.

Furthermore, LLC hosts both a Traditional Artist and Gaelic Writer-in-Residence program, featuring a composer/musician and an author who collaborate with faculty and students on various creative projects and performances.
