Our combined degree programs enable you to pursue legal studies while exploring another academic field. During this four-year program, you'll complete courses from both the Law School and the UK's largest, most comprehensive History department.
The dual LLB in Law and History seeks to develop sophisticated comprehension of legal principles, theories, and regulations.
This program also provides opportunities to examine diverse historical subjects, broadening your expertise in:
specific geographic areas
historical time periods
key thematic studies
All our LLB degrees hold accreditation from the Law Society of Scotland.
Note that this interdisciplinary honors program doesn't incorporate all necessary coursework for advancing to the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and subsequent legal qualification in Scotland.
Joint honors students may potentially fulfill these requirements through supplementary courses, subject to consultation with the Law School.

The standard entry requirement is:
SQA Highers: AAAAA-AAAA (achievement by end of S5 preferred). BBB must be achieved in one year of S4-S5.
A Levels: AAA - ABB.
IB: 36 points with 665 at HL - 34 points with 655 at HL.
Minimum entry requirement
The minimum entry requirement for widening access applicants is:
SQA Highers: ABBB by end of S6. BBB must be achieved in one year of S4-S5.
A Levels: ABB.
IB: 34 points with 655 at HL.
IELTS Academic module overall 6.5 with 5.5 in each component.
TOEFL-iBT (including Special Home Edition) 92 or above with 20 in each section. We do not accept TOEFL MyBest Score to meet our English language requirements.
