Psychology is a scientific discipline based on experimentation and observation, where research findings form the foundation for creating and assessing theories.
Our curriculum places significant focus on cultivating research methodology and statistical analysis competencies, complementing our teaching approach rooted in active research.
First Year - Through instructional sessions and small-group discussions, you'll receive a comprehensive overview of psychology, exploring cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, memory and perception studies, personality variations, language and cognition, along with social psychology. You'll also learn fundamental research techniques and statistical principles, gaining hands-on experience with psychological laboratory work. Second Year - You'll advance your study of key psychological domains while introducing clinical psychology. This year enhances your professional and academic abilities, including literature review techniques, research documentation, and ethical considerations. A year-long, rigorous program in research methodology and statistics will equip you for third-year challenges. Third Year - To bolster your investigative projects, you'll take specialized courses in research techniques. You'll select advanced psychology modules that build upon core subjects required for British Psychological Society certification, while collaborating on group research initiatives. Fourth Year - In addition to intensive tutorial sessions and a substantial independent research project, you'll pursue advanced psychology courses. These research-driven classes expose you to pioneering developments across psychology's diverse specializations.
